I dunno, losing "Protector Of Tyria" on my warrior kinda bugged me, simply from an RP standpoint. I liked to think of my warrior as a man who protected all of tyria, saving the world. Am I a nerd? Yes.

We want to know.
We want to know whether or not a Protector Title will count as the maximum level of the respective Protector Title Track with regard to Kind Of A Big Deal. Not the Guardian Mission Track. The Protector Title Track.
There was a outcry amongst Protectors of Tyria/Cantha/Elona during the brief Valentine's Day Title 'bug' that appeared over not only unmaxed Titles, but maxed Titles.
This 'bug' was fixed within a few hours. Two things still worry me though:
1) Unmaxed Titles still carry this message. If the 'bug' was fixed, why weren't the unmaxed Title statements fixed? Was it a 'bug', or a vision of the future?
2) Why won't Anet give a clear reply on this matter and lay fears to rest? And I mean *clear*, not some marketspeak about not 'devaluing' current Titles. The evasion of the direct question with the word 'devalue', scares me, because it is an obvious evasion, but it also suggests that you know something...
Conclusion: Anet very likely going to unmax all the Protector Titles.
Action: If the community doesn't want this change, now is the time to make a fuss about it.
This should be our constant query, it's quite simple:
We want to know whether or not a Protector Title will count as the maximum level of the respective Protector Title Track with regard to Kind Of A Big Deal. Not the Guardian Mission Track. The Protector Title Track.
Please stop evading this question. If the Protector titles are not going to be counted as maxed with regard to Kind Of A Big Deal, many of us want to stop wasting time earning the Titles now, maybe even sell the game that keeps moving the finish line further away from the marathon runners, and get on with our new lives.
Once again, so it's real clear:
We want to know whether or not a Protector Title will count as the maximum level of the respective Protector Title Track with regard to Kind Of A Big Deal. Not the Guardian Mission Track. The Protector Title Track.

Yeah, of course Gaile didn't answer you. Because it's bad news.
These Titles can be bought with Ebay gold very easily, without needing to pay for a 'runner' to do missions or explore for you:
Drunken
Wisdom
Treasure Seeker
and, introducing, Sweet Tooth.
To think, they're introducing Skill Hunter Titles to make it easier to earn KOABD, but making the Mission Title harder? It makes no sense. It really requires no great 'skill' to cap a boss anywhere in the game - and the vast majority of the Elites capped will be of no use whatsoever to the character. Still, at 90,000 Gold for 90 Capture Signets, I guess we *could* add three more Skill Hunter Titles to the Ebay Gold category. That's 7 Titles based primarily on Gold.
Maybe Anet is going to start selling GW Gold?
But wait! Maybe Anet can take this opportunity and give us three more Guardian Titles in *addition* to the Protector Titles! That would actually put the focus back on skill and usefulness in teams.
At least the Mission Title Track means you could be useful to a PUG recruiting for a Mission.
It would make great sense to make the Guardian Titles separate Tracks. I'd love to try and earn them. It's adding more importance to Missions, which are supposedly the basis of the PvE experience. Indeed, it would be a good reason to not always be wearing KOABD - you could change the Title you were wearing for the situation as required: eg: Thunderhead Keep groups might prefer a Guardian of Tyria to a KOABD.
Do I want to *have* to earn them to get back what I had already? NO!
What better Valentine's Day present than to give us future vision of one of the few earned PvE Titles being taken away from us? And a reminder, that money can buy love!
Thanks Anet! PvE loves you right back.
PS: Can't wait to see what game I'll buy next - the fourth GW expansion, or maybe something ELSE.

I'm seriously hoping to god that this is the way they go. I can't see how they can program Protector titles to still count as maxed, even when Gaurdian isn't maxed. Doesn't make much sense.
I'm having the same fears as you. I am not looking forward to doing three games over AGAIN (except harder) for a title I'm so close to earning (82% of Cantha!)
To people saying that PvE is easy and that we should truly earn the maxed titles...We already did earn them. They've been maxed for what, a year now? It would be a silly and not-so-nice change. And yes, change can be good, but not when it forces you to do something over again.
In conclusion: Having the Guardian title tracks as a seperate title track would be a good idea, but they're similar and it wouldn't make too much sense having them seperate.
